Dear Dave,

Thank you for your letter of the 5th instant. As it happens the group is booked on April 4th but as you say it would be a convenient date for you I have ascertained from the promoter concerned that I can give him an alternate date. One thing, however, I must advise you is that the BEATLES play a maximum of 60 minutes in two separate half hour sessions. I don't know what your reaction to this is but I hope it will not preclude you from offering me the engagement. No doubt you can 'fill in' with a local jazz or rock group. Looking forward to hearing from you again as soon as possible.
