The Beatles dine at the Chivas Restaurant, Aberdeen, Scotland.
"Albert Bonici: 'On the Monday, I travelled to Aberdeen Station and was picked up by my associate, Gordon Hardie. We went as usual to Chivas Restaurant in Union Street, only this time we were surrounded by waitresses clamouring, "Who are these Beatles?" The group had apparently visited the restaurant earlier in the day and made a great impression. I don't know if it was their personalities or the smart blue suits and raincoats into which the name "Beatle" was sewn, but they had certainly impressed the girls, and that made an impression on me.'
Though Bonici lost money on the first of 3 Beatle tours, two of their songs hitting the charts besides positive feedback led him to fly to London to negotiate with Brian Epstein [who he worked with to introduce other bands later].
Albert brought the young promoter Andi Lothian from Dundee with him and sought his advise when Epstein asked for a whopping £500 for the second tour which was to be concerts rather than dances."
